Step Through Classic

The Step Through was designed with simplicity and practicality in mind. We’ve removed the flourish in favor of features that make riding your bike fun again. Don’t worry about getting your pants greasy or bringing a change of shoes: this bike is designed to meet your needs no matter what your style. The Step Through features a mixed-chromoly frame to reduce weight, fenders, and a full chaincase to keep you clean and dry. The 1 speed features a simple coaster brake, the 3 and 7 speeds feature an internal gear system to keep things ultra-simple. The 7 speeds version comes also with a rack. The riding position is considerably upright so you can keep your back straight and your thoughts on the day ahead.

Practical. Faithful. Solid.

At Simcoe we focus on the details. This means every part of the bike is carefully scrutinized to ensure your new bike exceeds your every expectation.

Chaincase

Chaincase

Our models feature a full chaincase. We use a full chaincase to fully protect both you and the bike from grease and grime.

Fender and Hub

Fender and Hub

Our 3 and 7 speed models use a clever design that puts all the gears inside the rear wheel hub. This means you can easily shift gears and you don’t have to worry about the chain falling off. To keep you clean, all Simcoe models feature high-quality, stylish fenders.

Saddle

Saddle

Our Classic models feature a high-quality vinyl saddle with extra springs for comfort.

Washers

Washers

Our fenders come equipped with leather washers. We use leather because it helps ensure that your bike will not have any of those annoying squeaks and rattles typical of so many bikes. In addition, they look very stylish.

Bars, Brakes & Shifters

Bars, Brakes & Shifters

The handlebars on our bikes keep you upright and comfortable, without having to reach. We then use simple twist shifters on the 3 speed model and convenient thumb shifters on the 7 speed models. For confidence-inducing stopping power, we use coaster brakes on the 1 speed and rim brakes on the 3 and 7 speed models.

Smart Geometry designed for riding in the City

Traveling by bike in a dense, urban environment requires a bike that is nimble. Simcoe bikes are remarkably graceful because we put an incredible amount of thought and experience into the geometry. We call it CitySmart geometry. The net result is that you are able to ride with a higher degree of confidence and comfort because your bike is designed for anything the city throws your way, from pedestrians to traffic to pot holes.

CitySmart Geometry

  1. Sharp seat tube angle places rider’s weight over cranks to optimize power and handling from stoplight to stoplight.
  2. Shorter head tube on Roadster models provides high reaction steering. The longer head tube on Step Through models provides upright comfort.
  3. Long rear centre plants a stable footprint for transporting groceries.
  4. Low bottom bracket keeps centre of gravity low and safe.
  5. Short front centre provides high levels of maneuverability in difficult situations.
