Step Through Deluxe

The Step Through was designed with simplicity and practicality in mind. We’ve removed the flourish in favor of features that make riding your bike fun again. The Step Through features a mixed-chromoly frame to reduce weight, a rear rack for all your cargo, and fenders and a full chaincase to keep you clean and dry. The 1 speed features a simple coaster brake; the 3 and 7 speeds feature an internal gear system to keep things ultra-simple. Step Through Deluxe, 1 speed, Burgundy

Practical. Reliable. Solid.

We like to focus on the details — this means every part of the bike is carefully considered to ensure your new ride exceeds your every expectation. Hopefully you’ll even find a few surprises once you’re home from the shop.

All of our models feature a full length chaincase. We designed this case to fully protect both you and your bike from grease coming off your chain. You won’t have to worry about tucking in your pant legs or oiling your chain as often. Phew.

Fender and Hub

Fender and Hub

Our 3 and 7 speed models use a clever design that puts all the gears inside the rear wheel hub. This means you can easily shift gears and you don’t have to worry about the chain falling off. To keep you clean, all Simcoe models feature high-quality, stylish fenders.

Our fenders come installed with unique leather washers. We use leather because it helps ensure that your bike will not squeak or rattle, and leather washers help prevent corrosion if you ride through the winter. Bet your last bike didn’t have these!

Bars, Brakes & Shifters

Bars, Brakes & Shifters

The handlebar and stem on our bikes keep you upright and comfortable, without having to reach too far or put pressure on your wrists. We then use convenient thumb shifters for quick and accurate shifting.

Smart Geometry designed for riding in the City

Traveling by bike in a dense urban environment requires a bike that is both nimble and stable, not just one or the other. Your Simcoe bike is designed to stay glued to the ground while you thread your way around pedestrians, cars and potholes. At Simcoe, we put an incredible amount of thought and experience into our geometry. We call it CitySmart, and it offers the smartest, safest, and most enjoyable geometry on the market today.

CitySmart Geometry

  1. Sharp seat tube angle optimizes acceleration and handling from stoplight to stoplight.
  2. Longer head tube on Step Through models provides upright comfort. Shorter head tube on Roadster models provides quick reaction steering.
  3. Long rear centre plants a stable footprint for carrying cargo, groceries or children.
  4. Low bottom bracket keeps riders’ feet close to the ground.
  5. Short front centre provides confident agility in tricky situations.
